Pla me some music will ya?

Hello folks
I was thinking about the music playing mechanic in the game. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this kind of stuff and i'm really excited about it. For now it looks like there are a few songs that will play randomly or depending on where you play them. But there is something i'd really like that the game could allow you to play songs you've downloaded online. I only saw this feature in a game called Starbound (by Chucklefish) where you need to download the song in a .abc format, and it allowed you to play the instrumental of the song with different sound effects depending on the instrument. Is it even possible? I hope so! What do you think?
