So coming back to the forum after a while and glad to see that the community is doing well. Now as the title says MHW or DBFZ? Which one will you buy when they come out(since they come out the same day unfortunately)? At first I was thinking of getting MHW but then I thought I might get bored of it, then I thought about getting DBFZ and so it has gotten conflicting to choose which one to buy. I wonder which one you guys are going to pick and why?
Monster Hunter World or DB FighterZ?
As someone who has played Monster Hunter 3u, Monster Hunter $u, and Monster Hunter Generations, it is SO much worth it than DBFZ. The monsters are very fun to fight, great game mechanics, good armor and weapon designs (Hell, even the girl armor isn't fan service which is rare.) AND when you "farm" these monsters it's a different experience each time with mixed attacks and moves. And don't get me started with the elder dragons.....
How ever there are some hard, not interesting, and very salty monsters. like Ragang, Yian Garuga, and Kirin. Plus Khezu (Which is a D***head. and you'll see why I said that.)
So yeahhhh i'd have to say MHW because it's very well designed and you won't get bored with it.
For me personally, I would say Monster Hunter World.
Played it for the first time this weekend on the PS4 Beta, and it was just awesome. Would recommend it to anyone who has not yet tried it.
It was fun and well-designed. Even when you keep on dying, you are just sucked back in, trying to do something different, hoping to slay those monsters.
@augunslingin I feel ya! I am in the same boat. I will probably just get my character started Friday, and play SoT the weekend.
@xredx-harlow looks interesting! I am so indie/platforming burnt out I can no longer handle it ha ha! Unless another Earthworm Jim was announced. I take that back, I am pumped for Donkey Kong on the Switch. I dont care if it is a remake, he is my main dude.
Pre-Ordered Dragon Ball Fighterz. Monster Hunter looks amazing but I have so many open world games to get through that having another just feels like it would be wasted on me. Maybe on a sale (or sail ;P) I'll pick it up. Fighterz looks like something to have a couple of matches on in between other commitments.
@haminator117 I agree! I love open world games (sometimes I have too many), but MHW is perfect for me. Sometimes I need something more straightforward like DB FighterZ. Both games look and play amazing
@mrmeepman It is, I love there is only a pause when going to different areas this time around. I loved MH Tri, MH 3 Ultimate, and MH4 Ultimate. Once this beta is done, I need something to help me get my mind off the wait!

I think it'll be a great time to join the monster hunter community.
I think so too.

Monster Hunter. I was really hyped for DBZ, but after playing the BETA I felt disappointed—the gameplay's fairly shallow and the netcode's atrocious. So yeah, I'd definitely say Monster Hunter. Get DBZ somewhere down the line though, it's a well polished game and it has some fun gimmicks.
Shame about the netcode. I don't play a lot of fighting games but that seems to be pretty common with them. Would think/hope devs would have thought of some innovative ways to get online matches nice and smooth by now but maybe just need some different dev teams or a change of culture or something. I don't follow fighting games closely so dunno really.
@augunslingin Yeah, I get you. I decided to play the closed beta of SOT since it starts tomorrow and then possibly play MNH when it comes out on the 26th but I first got to get rid of everything that I need to do before then.
@xredx-harlow Looks really interesting I tend to search a lot for indie games even though I'm unable to play them but I tend to watch Get Indie Gaming which is a channel that shows a lot of indie games that come out every month and also ones that are going through a kickstarter campaign.
@haminator117 Yeah that is why I was doubting whether to get MHW because I have Final Fantasy XV and The Witcher 3 which I haven't finished but I did get it.
@capt-explodabob Oh yeah I had a similar problem with Naruto Storm 4, the game plays smoothly when it is from the couch/local but it is atrocious when it comes to online. Which is honestly a b****r because I don't really have anyone to play with at home and I barely have anyone other than a friend who is far away from me that could match me and we can have matches where the result is unexpected.
