I have taken a long break from the game due to constant high ping. Ping stay 90-100 causing rubber banding, hitches etc. it’s really only in SoT do I experience this. I’ve tried 3 different internet types, and always use Ethernet, I get the same result every time. I noticed with each season my ping would creep up 5-10 ping.
I don’t know if I’m being connected to a server far away or what, I should be connecting to Miami given my close proximity, but I don’t think that’s the case. We need to be able to select our server region or new servers need to added.
90-100 is the best I ever get 😓
To be fair I live in the literal middle of the Pacific Ocean. Ping in sot is odd, though, it doesn’t seem like anyone ever gets below 35. Don’t get me wrong, 35 is amazing, but the speed of light is the speed of light, if one is right beside the server their ping should be sub-10. The west coast crew I play with never seems to have below 60, both of them living in Southern California. This makes me wonder where exactly the west servers are even at.
With that said, 90-100 isn’t bad at all in sot. I play with much higher with crews in other regions, it gets noticeably gross above 150. If I lived somewhere else I’d be irritated about a 90-100 ping too, though.
