I hope you are happy

    I hope you are happy with what you are building. Me? Not so much.
    Here are some observations I had so far:

    • I understand Rare tryes to make everybody happy by putting new colored fishes one seasson and then create insentive to make future horrible persons from angry kids with lack of good parenting in the next one. But may be.. just may be, Rare should pick a side and be responsable of what is being built.
    • Instead of leaving streamers in the background at 160p and no sound as I always do, I tried to watch them for once. I made the effort and... there is no interesting content. You can always blame the player saying that they are who has to make it fun. I strongly disagree.
    • May be I don't know how to play the game anymore. Maybe I am not the kind of public this game wants to have. But I just said goodbye to the good old days of sailing and watching the horizon.
    • I don't believe Reapers needs any kind of incentive. They never did. It only helps to grow a trash talker community. The same trash talker kids that we are very encouraged to report. After many hours of watching stream, I can say that I never saw more misogynistic than now playing it. Reaper makes the perfect excuse to lose the tongue at an open mic. But may be it was just my luck and I choose wrong streamers. I hate to think that there is no responsible mindset in the community team management. People should not have that job position if their only interest is to get their salary at the end of the month and get their 30 days per year of vacations.
    • Despise of the fact that the seasson features are always announced with drums and cymbals, and once they get to the non-insider-players it is a full-of-bugs-meh , I think the recipe of chunks of opposite content per seasson has already proven that is not working for the game image. Trying to make everybody happy only creates discord
    • Having lyrics in the menu makes me want to start the game quick to get out of ther, or Exit To Desktop just to do not have to listen to it. I don't have many games but I don't believe that is a good move. The voice tone of grandpa sat in the bar located at the corner of the elementary school watching girls getting out does not help either. Long time ago, I used to enjoy the music of this game. Now, not even that.

    I think this season I will concentrate in hunting boars and once I complete the commendation, I will close the game until the next one

    I don't believe Reapers needs any kind of incentive. They never did. It only helps to grow a trash talker community.

    It all Lore. I better than a one off time, Tall Tale. And Reapers are not the only faction/factionless players who trash talk.

    You never met an Athena player who chased a Fishing Hunters Call ship and called them names for having only fish and no loot.

    There's nothing wrong with Rare targeting different emissaries per season, the good thing about SoT is that there's so much to do in game you don't even need to touch reapers.

    Go do something else in game, don't like battles, dive to another server or run. Seeing reapers show on the map it's easy to avoid them if you really want to.

    We did Merchants last night for three hours, heaps of reapers on the server and had no real issues. Sunk one because it came near us, but mainly just did our own missions and stuff.

    No one is forcing you to play a certain way.

    Very strange take. The only content they have added for reapers is purely pve. The pvp aspect is in stealing from the reapers. If youre not a fan of pvp wait a bit to focus on newer content, you always have a surge at the new release of anything where you will get attacked a lot as sweatier crews grind their comms.

    How do people complain about other players when they can just go to safer seas?

    Then learn how to deal with it! You can literally mute other crews! And if you sink every time - learn how to play the pirate game you're playing.
