Use of Optimization Tools.

    Hello fellow Pirates, I was wondering if the use of a program called SpecialK would trip the anti-cheat and potentially lead to a ban? The program uses custom settings and system configs that allow the game to run at a better fps on some systems. I have used it for many other games and it has greatly improved my experience.     @aquamusician727 wasn't someone banned from an esports tournament for somthing like this?... I'm going to guess no third party software.

    @captain-fob4141 Yeah I have no idea. It is not a cheat of any sort, mostly helps with frame smoothing I believe

    @aquamusician727 right but it's 3rd part software interacting with the function of the game. So again I would guess, no third party software.

    The GitHub makes it clear this is accomplished by injecting DLLs into the game.

    Do not use this, this is exactly the sort of thing that EAC will ping on, and it's possible that some setting will give you a competitive advantage over others.

    FOV's over 90 is a bannable offence, so I don't think Rare will look at this kindly.

    This game is 6 years old, if you need a 3rd party program to make the game run better you really just need to get a new system instead. This is not a demanding game and it wasn't demanding when it released.
