PS5 free trial?

Will there ever be somekind of a free weekend or such on PS5? You can get a free 14 day trial with the game pass on PC and Xbox i think. I have a couple of friends who are mildly interested in SOT but not enough to buy the game. A free trial or an weekend event of that sorts might be the right kicker for them to sail the seas full time, as well for many others i'd presume.
