I have two microsoft accounts. One copy of Steam version linked to account A. Daughter is on account B which has game pass ultimate. I tried to send friend request from one to the other. It shows as friend on one side only. I cannot party up. I cannot join. Each time I try to connect it says disconnected from Xbox.
I just cannot believe its this hard. Do they not want people playing their games? Locking everything down this hard has pushed me away. Im so frustrated with this experience that I will likely avoid anything with Microsoft games name on it in the future to avoid microsoft account/website/obnoxious security hassles in the future.
How is one of the biggest companies in the world unable to do basic online gaming? Literally every other game studio I have no issues, every other platform....easy.
I have spent two hours getting nowhere because this multi billion dollar conglomerate is terrified that they could lose a dollar somehow.
