Ghostly curse

  • Rare, can you removing the sparkle on the Ghost Curse please, it serves no purpose and doesn't look very cool. Additionally, ghost mobs and NPCs don't have this sparckle shiny effect.

Already, it's frustrating to carry this fluorescent turquoise effect that makes us literally an Glow Stick. It would be fun if we could hide among the ghost mobs, just like a skelly curse can do with other skeletons

Yeah, I totally get the frustration there. Why is the player ghost just so sparkly while ghost mobs are just dull? Why can't they be consistent?

But I also understand that having the ghost curse to look similar to the NPC Ghosts would actually make the player way more translucent and harder to see. The sparkle was mostly there for visibility.

Honestly, I think rare should fix it by making NPC Ghosts LOOK like the player's Ghost curse, give them the same sparkle and glow which would also help with visibility when fighting them. 2 birds with 1 stone.

  • The Blessing is Ramsey's version of the curse, different from the other ghost NPC's who are just dead. Unlike all other ghost NPC's, Ramsey has the same particles we have. Just not as bright.

Not sure if you noticed, but the particles come from and only surround your 4 limbs. Both of your hands and legs have the particles. This can be most easily seen by emoting and getting the camera inside of your character using a wall.

This is the same for Ramsey. His limbs are where the particles come from and surround. So it is consistent, ours is just more intense.

  • I'd rather have the glitter if I went through the pain of getting the curse...

And hiding amongst ghosts would only work with the newbiest of newbies. Like they can't see your GT. It's like the barrel hide emote all over again lol

But... I would prefer the Ghost Curse to resemble more the mobs and NPCs than the other way around, considering the Skelly Curse is the "best" in the game, the one that is less visible.

Agree big time. I dislike how opaque the ghost curse is, as well as its wiggle effect. I would much rather look like the phantom pirate mobs; their slight translucency is awesome, and their faces don't look like a wiggly mess in screenshots.

  • there is a setting to turn off the Glowing Aura that ghost loot gives off..
would that setting maybe work for this?
    just a thought

Well, I'm not gonna deny that I do love the look of the NPC Ghosts better than the Ghost curse version, and I do hope that the curse could also look similar.

But I also understand that a cosmetic shouldn't be too good that it could be invisible to other players. this is the reasoning behind my suggestion to go the other way around.
