Would be cool if the storm changed to a lightly snowstorm during the Christmas month. Leaving the areas it went shortly covered in snow. And if that's too hard a performance hit, then not leaving snow on the ground, just a wet ground as normally.
Would be a lovely and cozy temporarily change along with the decorations I think.
