Pirate Legend feels like Pirate Errand Runner.

    When i hear "Pirate Legend" I think epic rock stars of the seas. People who have bested the Burning Blade or the Ashen Lords. Someone who's sunk countless enemies be they other pirates, phantoms, or skeletons.

    What I feel like we got is "do these chores and spend money". I was excited when someone got it. I'm still excited when someone gets pirate legend however, i think there needs to be an epic quest line implemented. Something that feels epic with more grandeur and celebration. Even if its a short quest line that ends with a scripted event.

    That solves multiple "problems". For one, It gives us something to share screen shots and cool stories about. It also gives the DEVs more flexibility about the cap of trading companies in Safer Seas.

    Anyway, that's just my current musings. :3

    @mepandreamr Not sure what the Cap on Rep in Safer Seas has to do with anything as it is nowhere close to PL.

    Early 40's is widely considered about halfway to 50...in each of the companies.

    At 30% gain on Safer Seas, that would be a LOT longer....especially without Emissaries....or Sovereigns to sell to....

    What about the Legend of the Veil? That's a quest to find the McGuffin stones to keep the bad guy from snapping into existence.

    Personally I feel like this is one of those trying to fix what's not broken posts.

    Getting access to a literal secret passage to an exclusive tavern with exclusive cosmetics and such to buy is epic enough for me, thanks. A cool idea that made me want to achieve PL and was awesome when I finally did it. 10 out of 10, no complaints.

    @b4njax I can see that. I'm not tryna devalue your experience. Maybe give us an optional quest to do? LIke "yay! you did it! want some cool story stuff too?" or something like that.

    Athenas - Fortune is lead by Ramsey, the person who refers to himself and also by everybody as the 'Pirate Lord'

    Ever stopped to think why Pirate Lord is dead and has 3 swords stuck in his back ( Sea of Thieves max crew size is 4)

    And then think about every other faction, they are all in it for themselves. Flameheart might have a claim to be the ''good guy''.

    At the end of the day, even in Sea of Thieves ''Victors write history''

    Better follow Guybrush footsteps, pursue your own goals and be a Mighty Pirate!

    Legend of the Veil

    Legend of the Veil is an Athena's Fortune Voyage exclusively available to Pirate Legends. Over the course of this three-chapter Voyage, players will meet the Pirate Lord and help him uncover the Veil Stones that belong to the Veil of the Ancients.

    Legend of the Veil is the only Athena voyage that I really enjoy, the original athena mission is just so boring in that its the same mission we've done countless times before.

    • Instead of dig'em'ups and riddles we should have Athena Vaults, much more challanging than their ancient counterparts

    • Instead of Skeleton Captains we should get Skeleton Lords and Sea forts with increased difficulty and enemy numbers (not just 4 or 5 phantoms that take 3 hits to kill)

    • Instead of cargo runs we should get Athena Keg contracts, this should be part 3 of the voyage so players cant hoard these kegs with no effort put in

    • There should also be some kind of Athena related reason to visit the sunken kingdoms, perhaps an increased difficulty to the Treasuries with a coral version of the Athena chest but not before being sent to a shrine with a chance of spawning Athena trinkets

    I found it to be an anti-climax. The items you can buy I could not afford, the missions are better than the regular missions but not as good as the tall tales.

    Being that Open Group blows chunks I mostly play solo, if I was grouping I might do more Athena content. We'll see what guilds bring.

    @foambreaker Yeah, true. I usually play with my wife, brother, and his wife. So we're a pretty adept group but the trolls got to be too much for them so now I end up solo mostly. I can't wait for safer seas so we can finally finish the tall tales we've been working on!
