    Sadly, I have to agree with @TheGingrPrince, this is not gonna happen due to multiple reasons.

    I'm still going to take the chance to post this here before the thread gets locked with a boilerplate answer from the mods.

    The reason this feature gets requested so often, despite Rare's refusal to implement it, is because of either motion sickness or because the player requesting it is used to playing at a higher FoV on other games.

    With the above said, to mitigate the motion sickness to a great extent and offer more options to players, 120 FoV is not necessary, keep in mind that this game uses HORIZONTAL FoV so the 90 max currently ingame corresponds to 90 HDEG 16:9.

    Implementing a max value of 103 HDEG 16:9 ( Valorant, Overwatch) or 106 HDEG 16:9 (CSGO) would be the best way to handle this since as far as I am aware SoT does not have a model FoV implemented to stop the camera from glitching through the player models at higher FoV settings.

    Perhaps some camera adjustments would be needed to have a max 106 FoV in the game but I doubt this would take very long for an experienced dev to set up properly IF they wanted to.

    Considering it took 5 years to have a simple brightness slider added to the game and Rare's stance on this so far, I expect we will be afflicted by pirate tunnel vision for the foreseeable future.

    120 FoV is not something we as a development team are looking to implement. There are multiple reasons behind this.

    The first is that the game is designed at 90 FoV. Anything over this stretches the world and cosmetics in a way that destroys the care and love the art team put into creating them.

    The second is that Sea of Thieves passed all accessibility checks at 90 FoV. These are not just internal checks by our team but also at a Microsoft level, which is to a globally high standard.

    There are multiple ways players can work to combat motion sickness, including ensuring they are a suitable distance from the screen, but we have no plans to change our stance on this and hope the above gives a little more insight into the reasoning.
