Mystery [Mega Thread]

  • @gaudierpuppy866 I keep trying it but it doesn't work, probably a my bad thing because 4 square is weird. I just want to know so I can try using the key on some other combinations

  • @impymidna2303 wheres pxge at?

  • @gaudierpuppy866 I tried answering it with some of the base crossword puzzle, and I am VERY open to feedback because theres so many possibilities.
    Gloater
Ship(not sure about this one at all)
    Vicious
    Imposter
    Jealousy
    Disgust
    Time/Dead/Soul
    Relic
    Toxic(no clue here)
    Acid
But there's a chance we have to match lines instead, because things like
"a rising fury is what you'll find in the stranger's heart" and "ye heart serving part" fit suspiciously well together.

    Plus some other things

  • @cheekinqski5382 It seems like the clues on the left page probably give us the key as to how to solve the phrases the crossword comprises, given how many ways the phrases on the right page can be interpreted. There are so many ways we can arrange the crossword clues as a whole, that we have to be missing some key information.

  • @gaudierpuppy866 Indeed, and I think the lead for that may be how Bonavoxmac mentioned if you overlay Hseesall's hint with the crossword page, "here" lines up with ship, which is the strangest line because of all the misspellings. But I still have no clue what to do with it.

  • Let's run what3words on the words from wordsearch. I mean I said to "find me..."cuz even after we solve this part we prolly hit halfway mark.

  • @dr-effalottahos That's a solid idea

  • Rare released another hint: https://twitter.com/SeaOfThieves/status/1668651162285887488?cxt=HHwWgMC-4YTZnqguAAAA

I need to go over everything again, but maybe this will make sense to you guys.

  • “And what comes afore this word.”

  • @gshemuga

'H' also says there's a link between whatever word comes 'afore this word' and the symbols in the first picture...I would assume that's what we're looking for.

  • AFORE: (old English) BEFORE

  • I think the coins on the note are something we need to look closer, they repeat them in this new note.

  • @gshemuga “And what comes BEfore this word.”

  • Adding the previous coins counted on the previous letter with this new twitter posted letter with coins, we get a total of 246 coins, could that connect with anything?

  • It might the number seems familar not sure where I remember it from though.

  • @volk7845 H did say

We swore to never take his gold
He claimed my vow was lies!

And I’d account for EVERY coin

You too… to claim my prize!

  • So “And what comes afore this word.” could connect with AFORECLOUD, meaning BEfore cloud.

Are they trying to ask "What comes before the word cloud?"

  • Afore = Before

    Cloud = Shroud??

    Devil’s Shroud (Acid Rages???)

  • @gshemuga AHA! Could it be the red sea (Devils Shroud) that causes the ships to break and sink? is that sea like acid?

Could the SHROUDBREAKER symbol on the chest picture connect with this?

  • It might since the SHROUDBREAKER was made by the ancients to break through.

  • @impymidna2303 I mean, from what I recall being mentioned by various lore chasers, the ships sink because they quickly deteriorate in the Shroud. Metal rusting, wood splintering, etc.

  • Whats odd about the second version of this parchment is that each line starts with the same letter, even though the sentences are different! The letters that begin each line of text are words NWNESESENWNENE. Could probably cipher this? Ain't no anagram for this.

  • So I got 246 coins total from the new post and we now got the words NWNESESENWNENE.

  • HOLD UP, NWNESESENWNENE THESE could be directions! But its hard to tell which is N or NE since the letters are mashed together.

  • Hi, I'm searching too, i followed all the ideas since now, but i have a question, what's the symbol for "Monarch" on the chest's image ?

  • @monsieurstrange Dude holding the crown.

  • Maybe NWNESESENWNENE makes this

NW, NE, SE, SE, NW, NE, NE? Directions? But to WHERE?

  • @volk7845 next to the turtle ?

  • The new post says that completing this requires the connection between the Symbols, Map
and everything on the new note.

  • The notes with the Coins and Directions were only released when everybody had real trouble solving this 4th puzzle. H wrote earlier that all the answers were out there. The word search puzzle, which I think, references the Devil’s Shroud / Red Sea, holds the answer.

  • "Requires the connection between the Symbols, Map
    and everything on this note."

Lets see, we got MONARCH, EAGLE, SNAKE (and possibly SHARK and CRAB are last)

Eagle and Snake symbols are easy to find in the picture but MONARCH is a type of king or queen, could it mean the Siren symbol on the chalice? Or the symbol of a man in the bottom left of the chest?

    alt text

  • And maybe, the last word is given in the letter, like litterally when he said "whats comes afore this word ?" and he said "easy" maybe a word just after "easy" would be the last word/symbol

  • Sorry about being late I had to feed my pet.

  • @monsieurstrange In the Merfolks Lullaby Hoarders Hunt Mystery Board, could SEA TURTLE fill the last blanks with MONARCH, EAGLE, and SNAKE in the word cipher?
