Mystery [Mega Thread]

  • Using Pixlr, and combining the different images from the Lighthouse, we see different letters and numbers created on the chests

    ref: https://ibb.co/KVXjtTk

  • Through the image we also notice there are 2 parchments laying on the table suggesting to combine 2 of the images perhaps.
The black Cross links perhaps suggest building a ladder of the images, or points of alignment for different pictures.

  • And also as the candles suggest, 1 big and 1 small (need to resize one of the images to make it fit) and one out of the third is not used.
Ther parchments are also 1 big and 1 small

  • Has anyone noticed that the dots are not consistent with each symbol? For example, most of the F symbols have dots except for one and most of the L symbols have dots except for one.

  • do you think the code would have something to do with cards because of everything relating to a card game

I don’t think so. I think the cards are just to lead us to something. Last time it was birds but the keyword ended up being 2faced, so nothing bird related.

  • yea good point

  • @mr-pancake9582
i dont know if this has anything to do with the code but i counted 25 markings on the rare thief portrait markings and there are a total of 50 portraits, i dont know what im supposed to be looking for

  • I've noticed a majority of scratches behind the hoarders are always close to either Hugh or Henry with six for Hugh and Eight for Henry. Sorry if this is old news by the way I just woke up

  • With 50 images found so far we're 2 off a full deck of cards... Or a few more if there are wild cards... The scatchings are probably representative of which suit... I think the answer will be the unbeatable winning hand... Like the royal flush which has 4 tiers depending on suit... It just depends on which game...

  • The soy fruit bitly link was updated so there is a new picture with pigpen on it. I still have no clue what to do.

  • @expertknot447
Do you have a copy of that link? Maybe the Pigpen will give us a clue as to what to do with the pictures.

  • You have to flip the posters so that the edges match the wall scratches. We think the letters are MMIAHM(X?)EAJIG

  • @lucky11
I don’t know how to add the link here but I typed in https://bit.ly/sotfruit. It’s the same link as the pigpen fruit crates from the first puzzle.

  • @expertknot447
you're onto something. each of the old bitly links now lead to new portraits

[https://bit.ly/sotfeathered] also has a new portrait.

I've got a hunch that the https://twitter.com/SeaOfThieves/status/1661767610445316097?s=20 was telling us to retrace our previous steps. so it might be worth looking at the old links and sites we already visited before.

  • @expertknot447

According to Google, and including the question marks, the Pigpen letters translate to "O?" and "M?"

Theory: Maybe the symbol the Pigpen letters are pointing toward is "N." (the letter in between "O" and "M") If we know the first symbol is "N," then we could theoretically figure out the rest through a cryptogram of some kind?

I don't know, someone's going to figure this out at three in the morning!

  • @aggyl4429

  • @lucky11
I looked on rare thief’s guide to the puzzle and while they don’t have an answer yet they think that we are supposed to flip the portraits so they line up with the scratches on the wall. I found an anagram solver once that could make sentences but I can’t find it now.

  • @expertknot447
Could it be a Caesar Cipher, maybe? I ran the letters through a number of differing anagrams, and I didn't get anything that resembled any kind of clue.

  • @lucky11
We could definitely try using other ciphers but I think we should also try separating the symbols we got the day the puzzle released from the symbols we found later. I thought it was supposed to be possible for someone to figure everything out the day the puzzle released. I found an anagram solver that can make phrases called Andy’s anagram solver.

  • i don't know. i wish i could help but I don't know shot.

  • I'm not having any luck with this one

  • what if time runs out and we haven't solved it yet?

  • @marcus-pery
Rare Theif is pretty sure that The Crowning Glory will remain locked until we get the code phrase to Stage 3. After that, we'll be able to solve the final stage.

  • Almost half way til next stage hmmm... A. Last day its miraculous found and we scramble to do it... B. Go to back to A and wait....

  • I think we may need another hint.

At this point, we're all pretty much Jason Hudson from Call of Duty: Black Ops.

"The Numbers Letters, H! What do they mean!"

  • How many different symbols are there? I can't keep track of them. Also I saw somewhere about a solitaire cipher. Not sure how it works. Anyone tried that?

  • @ganjamanthejedi
There are currently 53 different symbols. 27 from the pictures released on the day the puzzle was released, 8 from the videos, 15 from the pictures released the day after the puzzle was released, and 3 from giphy that I’m not sure how old they are. The solitaire cipher works by turning playing cards into number and I know people were talking about it but I’m not sure of anyone tried it.

this is what I've been working on. its with the flipped posters and latest from giphy. I'm not sure if I'm onto something using the whole thing. i tried on discord but nobody responding so I can't tell if it's good or bad

  • If you sort the portraits by gold hoarder you are able to spell the words frost, diet, and locker. Maybe we should go back to what three words?

  • @expertknot447 I thought so too, but just tried every combination of words, and didn't get anything.

  • @expertknot447
I was able to spell "Hour" using the Pigpen symbols on the pictures of Horace.

  • @lucky11
It looks like we should be able to get on words from each hoarder.
    Humphrey spell rocked
    Harry might spell shady
    Horace spells hour
    Henry spells frost
    Herbert spells diet
    Hugh spells locker
Does anyone have any idea what the original gold hoarder spells? And how was the combination for the last puzzle found? We might haver to guess to find the right combination for what three words.

  • @expertknot447
Wait a minute...these are all words the parrot was saying last week!

Maybe the word spelled through Rathbone's pictures can be found in the "Message from H" video?
