Since the Christmas update, 2 people on my normal crew have had issues with harpoons not working. One of them tried to change the key bind and now cannot get it to bind at all and remains unbound, even after reset to default. They have tried to uninstall and reinstall game and still does not work. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you!

I have had the same problem since the latest update. None of the harpoons in the game work for me. I sent a support ticket and they said dev team would be notified. I am on Steam using a controller on PC.@chernabog70 Have you submitted a ticket through the support site, or are you referring to this thread? Support doesn't respond on the forums.
I'm on Steam PC version and have no issues with the harpoon (haven't logged in for todays update though). Does it only break after unbinding the key or it wasn't working to begin with? What does 'not working' mean exactly - it won't shoot, or it won't retract?
Also, this is in today's update notes which might help:
The fire and retract actions of the harpoon can once again be rebound within the Settings menu.
