Mysterious Coins

  • I found this near the beach campfire on Crook's Hollow

They appear to be either silver or ancient coins, 1 of which has an arrow pointing north etched into it. I have searched the north of the island, as well as the surrounding seabed, and used the fallen sea dog lantern and found nothing outside of the usual washed up loot. I'm going to sail to whatever island is north of Crook's Hollow for more potential clues to whatever this is.

Any insight would be incredibly helpful.

  • My guess it has probably to do with the mystery:

  • has anyone tried using the spyglass on these locations?
You know line up the eye with the coins...and dig?

  • Lesedi's telescope is on Crooked Masts in the prisoner cage.

I noticed one eye hole is outlined, but the other side isn't.

Also arranged in a R lol

It amazes me how I miss the obvious like the coins in the shape of a letter - yet another reason I don't like these mysteries; as complicated as they are, I will never be able to solve them without help, much less most of the community I would imagine.

I also forgot that there was now a lore subforum... 🤦‍♂️

On a side note, special thanks to the boatswain, @FishSt1ck, for sailing with me today when I discovered them, and for lending me a sympathetic ear. 😊

  • According to the murder mystery page:

A mysterious message left by what sounds like Lesedi suggests that the clues found have been fabrication by an unidentified female. In the message, Lesedi leaves instructions,
Use my spyglass, follow the coins.
Piles of silver coins were then discovered, with each pile forming the shape of a letter. All letters combined spelled the word, "PRISONER".

Lesedi's Spyglass could also be found in a prisoner's cage at Crooked Masts. The scope of the spyglass sports a design that can be used as a means to uncover further clues.

The letters are what lead to the spyglass.
