Pirate Generator Filters/Edits

    If a full pirate creation mode can't be done, how about some filters and small tweeks.

    I like to play as a female character, it would be great to have some filters so that my random pirates were all viable options for me.

    Filter ideas could include:
    Gender
    Age
    Personality

    Or how about an option to tweek our pirate before exiting, could also be a cool idea.
    Once we select the random pirate, maybe we could be given the option to change their personality so see what facial features we like best on them, or change their age, skin, eyes etc.
    It would certainly make more of the current creations we roll more of an option to us.

    You can't really allow tweaks to be made cause some players would abuse this feature to make pirates who wouldn't fit the game's design.
    IPG (Infinite Pirate Generator) is one thing Rare has hard worked on, but the quality of life when it comes to picking the pirate tho was barely though through.
    It definitely needs some tweaks to be able to view your possible pirate under different angles and poses and such, and why not even a preview of clothes they could wear?
    Filtering pirates is, to my belief, something that could definitely be added. Only problem I'd see would be in terms of coding, for all the we know the reason why they haven't ever tweaked it was maybe cause it's purely spaghetti coding...
    The topic has already been discussed thousands of times but Rare doesn't show a lot of consideration for it unfortunately, until then 🤞

    What do you mean by personality? I don’t think that’s a visual characteristic for the pirates.

    I recently had the choice to redo my pirate. Free mind you

    It took me only 5min to roll around the circle of pirates, fav every slot female pirates I liked and choose among the fav the one that I liked best.

    5min….and she is a nice female looking pirate. All teeth and such. So how do people have such horrible issues?

    Good for you dude.

    It took me over 6 hours in the course of several days/weeks to replace my well built but ugly faced pirate just to find one that is kind of close to what i actually wanted.

    The "infinite pirate generator" slot machine is just bad and it wastes everyone's time.

    And no, i dont want to play an ugly pirate. The devs of a game that has its entire progression system based on visual cosmetics should be able to relate.

    @burnbacon well personaly it took me 8 hrs to find kinda the pirate i wanted and i tried to select him and i got an error i don't even know why and then u gotta start from the beginning again there are ppl that don't look only for smaller things but try to get a pirate that they like more and things looks better then generic so i don't know why we don't get 3 or 4 filters no one is saying let us change the size of eyes nose or u have teeth or not simply SKIN BODYTYPE AGE AND HERO OR VILLAIN u still would get the abomination looking nose or missing teeth and scars randomly so no one would still look the same and tbh when ppl dress the same and have for example the gold curse and an eyepatch u still don't see the face but u still see two same pirates so ye even without that ppl can look the same even if we don't have that but that would make it easier for ppl that search for hrs

    Ah... 😉

    Why didn't she just say that, though? I myself have often said that being able to choose different poses would be a nice touch. Still, that doesn't always have to do with personality. It's just a thing...

    @faceyourdemon no. I mean personality.
    The pirates have different personalities which affect their appearance. I can't remember off-hand what they are, but it's something like brave/bold, angry, normal, happy. Happy would soften features, whilst angry hardens them. It would be nice to cycle through these options.

    @o0-kirsty-0o Face expressions. Keep it simple haha and your answer is what ive meant.

    The poses they have and different face expressions hides details that might change our decision, cycle through these emotes will give a better ground to choose a pirate.
