Make it so that the setting, “Prefer Xbox and Controllers Only” is more regulated. Going up against K&M players with a controller is extremely unfair.

It is regulated. Sailing with only Xbox controller only players.
That said, it is a preference, so you could end up on a Crossover Server. It is done this way because when that does happen it means the Matchmaking couldn't find an Xbox Server to place you on at that time. Rather than making you not be able to play or sit in a long queue like has happened with Arena, they elected to have the system fallback to Crossover in this event to ensure you get to play when you want.
On XBOX when you press the Gem and look at recently played with it shows.
I play on both - PC and XBOX - always with the controller.
I actually prefer to play on the everyone setting but I do know from when I played on XBOX Only it was rarely XBOX Controller only.
I didn't check for nerd rage reasons, I also use it to check for Tuckers every hour or so..and just happened to notice.
