6 v 6 Fort vs Fort mode

    This a suggestion that I've asked several streamers and they all seem interested. The focus would be for like a big Twitch Rivals event or something where several streamers are involved. The purpose of the game mode is as follows:
    Two teams consist of various ship iterations and pick a Fort to call their own. Somewhere on the map would be an item that must be retrieved and taken to the other team's fort.
    With a 6 man team the ships can be broken out as the following:
    1 Galley and 2 Sloops
    2 Brigs with 1 Sloop
    3 Sloops

    An alternative version could involve like a Capture the Flag where the team needs to bring the item back to their own fort.

    This doesn't seem like something Rare would spend dev time on. However this does seem like it would be a fun Custom Server mode. Let's hope they allow us to spawn loot, set boundaries, track scores, etc.

    I mean, I can't imagine the amount of "Dev" work would be super intensive. I think it would be great to get a bunch of the streamers together for the event, it would be a great Twitch Rivals thing in my opinion

    This is a great concept for if/when custom servers are released to the public

    As far as an actual game mode...eh... it'll never happen regardless of how good an idea it is. Example: Arena is dying a slow painful death and Rare has said they're not going to spend anymore time developing it...so they're definitely not going to develop a whole new game mode to get neglected and die a slow painful death.

    Regarding your concept, I'd suggest all ships must have a full crew. Otherwise, what skilled group of 6 would not choose a full galleon and 2 solo sloops?

    Make the options:

    • 1 Galleon and 1 Sloop
    • 2 Brigs
    • 3 Sloops

    I agree, would definitely be some good PR and exposure for the game even though personally I can't stand the majority of big time streamers. A win for SoT is a win for all of us.
