Hey guys, I think its a bit unfair that arena players do not get as much seasonal progression if get any. May be its a good idea to give us progression depending on which place you get during the match?
Arena Seasonal progression
Arena has a small population compared to adventure
how many of those people don't spend a few days to a week in adventure over the course of 3 months? Seasons are super casual play friendly so it doesn't take anyone with experience very long at all and that's spread out over 3 months.I'm not saying I'm against it but it's certainly serving a very small group of people
The developers already said they're not going to work on Arena anymore.
I think they only have it available for those who are willing to grind out commendations at this point and I'm sure they will remove it eventually when the percentage of players is so low that it no longer makes financial sense to run the servers.
It's a huge shame, really, because it's the best way to get better at naval combat IMO. Also, the Truimphant Sea Dog set is probably the most regal looking set in the game.
@wolfmanbush as for me Im no longer interested in long sailing sessions, so arena fits me best and if I had an option I would definetely drop the adventure option

I think minimal support should still be given to Arena (bug-fixes and the like).
If it ever gets removed from the game, I personally hope they transfer the associated cosmetics and commendations into Adventure rather than preventing those of us who didn't get them yet from ever having the opportunity to get them.
Perhaps if the Grand Maritime Union ever enters the Sea on a grand scale, they can target the Sea Dog Tavern for destruction. As an act of revenge, the Sea Dogs can ask pirate crews to defeat GMU crews and ships with the various weapons to match the commendations. 🙂
I sat year 2 out to have a baby so I missed out on Arena pretty much all together. I'd definitely appreciate a good reason to get people back into it so I can get my cheevos and associated cosmetics, I'll be very sad if they killed off arena before I had a chance so adding some sort of seasonal reward to it would be a good start.
@scaryfawn235336 I'm game why not give each place its own renown gain, we have renown gain for selling items.
@reedski good to see you here, for a while arena is alive and I see more and more people join it to get blue outfit
I also hope they wont kill arena and you will have your chance to progress@galactic-geek probably yes and you are right, these cosmetics are too nice looking to be lost forever
I hope the developers will do seasonal progression and monthly leaderboards, guess it does not require that much of work@wolfmanbush you are right about casuality that current progress is, I think you misunderstood my proposal.
This is not a separate progression

In a very passionate way I truly hope that IF Arena got removed from the game that they would not make cosmetics and commendations available in Aventure. Would really take the lustre off the blood, sweat and tears put into LSD, GSD & TSD grinds. I feel like people really undervalue those grinds, which are some of the only true grinds left in the game these days.

I really lack season progression within current system@hijack-hayes having all of the arena achievements now I think those cosmetics are really an honour to have, you are right. Hope they wont decide to shut arena because almost nothing can be compared to how you initially got them all
@pabz-2-dope I spent a long time on arena. Yes there were some folks like the ones you described, I guess it was a bad experience for you, but hope you had some better times
As for my personal experience I seen as many good folks out there as in adventure, same as as much toxicity as in adventure mode
@hijack-hayes Grinding those was epic. I made a lot of friends (funny how I make longer lasting friends in Arena) that I still play with... And I'll never take off my TSD title.
I'd like Arena to be updated/changed, but if it's in adventure the commendations should only be PvP-related.@pabz-2-dope nothing worse than being boarded and 'coerced' into a TDM. They won't even let you have the win even though everyone knows they have 240 wins min.

I think too many pirates are blinded by their own pride and put too much value on the cosmetics because they think it represents their accomplishments. Your accomplishments represent your accomplishments. Regardless of how I got a cosmetic, it doesn't change how you got it in the slightest.
2020 stats I had 41 wins…currently at 215. Find a mate that
you play well together. Best way to get wins.@galactic-geek according to my experience usualy blue outfit guys have high canonball acuracy as well as combat skills and overall strategy
Red outfit guys make mistakes and are not as accurate mostlyI guess in this case outfit really shows the skills. Never met blue outfit guy that would be bad in combat
