I was just thinking after several encounters that if skeleton galleons could not attack solo sloops or something similar
Skeleton ships
Ummmmm you either sailed to close to it or attacked it first cuz they do not spawn on sloops also their pretty easy to sink with a Sloop get close and hammer the side use fire bombs on the top deck to burn the skeletons and you should be fine also use your Cursed Cannon Balls the Barrel Balls work great it keeps them from patching also I’m the off chance you have a Chest of Sorrow or Rage put it on the skeleton ship they’ll sink them for you

Most of them don't.
If you decide to sail into a Skeleton Fleet (look up at the sky - it's a large cloud in the shape of a galleon), that's on you.
Same goes for sailing close to another ship, if it's not a sloop and if they spawn a skeleton ship it can be a Skalleon you'll have to face as well.When you find yourself close to a Skalleon, just be careful or get away.
