The Official Sea of Thieves channel has just released a new video showcasing what is to come for September.

2:13 - (LORE) After the defeat of the Gold Hoarder, the company have begun moving their loot from Tribute Peak to the numerous Ancient Vaults around the Sea of Thieves
2:23 - The Gold Hoarders have sent pirates to hunt down keys in fear that they could be used to steal their fortune, pirates can return the keys to them or can use them to unlock the riches in the Vaults.
2:43 - The Gold Hoarders are hiding a secret treasure in the vaults which can be recovered by finding medallions in the room and placing them into the puzzle table, doing so will unlock a clue to solve the puzzle and unlock the door containing said treasure.
3:03 - A mysterious black/gold chest with the Gold Hoarder insignia and markings of the Ancients, this is likely the secret treasure as it is in the same location that is behind the door. (You can also hear a sound which is similar to that of a video posted on their twitter awhile back hinting the sound for the next update)
3:07 - He describes the room as a highly intense in-and-out loot grab. Whilst not stated, this heavily implies that it might be a timer based situation.

3:34 - Chris mentions that Sea of Thieves has changed over the past few years and that it can be hard to keep track of what's new so to help with this, they will be adding a new feature called Mysterious Notes to the game.
3:46 - Mysterious Notes are in-world way to recommend new content and new experiences for those playing the Adventure Mode. This can vary from a world event, profitiable voyage, new arrivals, etc. (Speaking of new arrivals)
4:04 - A mysterious new face appears in the Sea of Thieves, it is unknown if she'll be apart of the new update or will be coming in a later one (For those who have read the novel Athena's Fortune, you may recognise her from the cover).
4:09 - The notes themselves will be given to you at the start of a session, these can be accessed via the Quest Radial with the option Mysterious Notes.
4:23 - Chris hopes you enjoy the QoL update that is coming for the next Sea of Thieves update.
