Athena, Instrument and Weapon Emotes

    There has been a lot of emotes that make use of a faction or equipment such as that Shovel Emote, Gold Hoarder emotes, etc, we even had those Reaper emotes as part of that Reward system (which I wasn't able to do at the time).

    However, we don't have Instrument based emotes, Weapon emotes and surprisingly, Athena's Fortune Emotes.
    I think its probably time to have those emotes for the game.

    For Athena's Fortune, these will obviously be Athena exclusive emotes and as for the level requirement, maybe some emotes for reaching pirate legend and maybe some Athena 20 emotes as well.

    Weapon Emotes are the most interesting of them all as you can only equip two weapons in you arsenal, so how will that work? Well, I was thinking that when you have weapon emotes equipped, you can only use the emote IF you have that weapon in your current arsenal.

    Let's say you currently have a Cutlass and Eye of Reach equipped, you will only be able to use Cutlass and Eye of Reach emotes whilst the Flintlock and Blunderbuss emotes will be locked from use (perhaps a message on that emote saying "Requires WEAPON to use".

    Anyways, those are some emotes I want to have added to the game, and hopefully we get them at some point in the future.

    @foxywiththemoxy I hadn't thought about the 2-weapon rule when thinking about having weapon emotes, so good foresight. Maybe have an alternative emote where your pirate goes to draw out their weapon, but because they don't have it, they end up pulling out nothing and looking momentarily confused.

    Ooh I like that, perhaps when using an emote you don't have a weapon for, that emote ends up happening.

    Also, I would honestly kill to have a sword emote based on this scene in Indiana Jones

    That's a shame.

    Anyways, I'm surprised that we don't have Athena Emotes yet, considering we have Gold Hoarder, OOS, Merchant, Sea Dog Emotes from the Emporium, and the limited Reaper emotes from that reward event (the one where you get emotes based on Reaper's chests collected).

    I actually just realised that I don't think there is a Hunter's Call emote set either (though the Fishing Rod emote and Animal emotes could be substitutes for it).

    @foxywiththemoxy I like the Bilge Rat emote set. Their sleep emote in particular is my favorite...

    I never did get all of the Reaper emotes - I hope that there will be future opportunities to earn them.

    Other ideas:

    1. Blows smoke from a recently fired flintlock's barrel.
    2. Flintlock spin and throw flourish with accidental misfire that actually expends a bullet and can hurt someone.
    3. Stands at attention like a good soldier with EoR slung across front shoulder.
    4. Places powder inside their blunderbuss barrel.
    5. Accidentally pulls their gun apart, but them quickly puts it back together.
    6. Sharpens cutlass.
    7. Pretends to play instrument, but clearly doesn't know how.
    8. Breaks instrument.
    9. Tweaks or tunes instrument.
    10. "I'm amazing" Athena emote - complete with Pirate Legend sun-rays and fan-fare appearing out of nowhere above them.

    I also always liked the idea of swimming-only emotes - you know so we can choreograph pirates doing the whole synchronized swimming bit.

    I don't know why, but reading that made me thinking of the opening sequence for Austin Powers (I think it was the second one).
