So in my time of using an actual rowboat, it's 100% a thing to row backwards. Rowing the proper way gets the rowboat really moving, and you use the oars, as you do in-game, with just a single oar to turn. But what isn't a thing in the game is the ability to row the opposite direction, or backwards, if you're too close to a wall or the rowboat went the wrong way or something, which makes it a bit frustrating to turn around using only forward thrust and turning.
So what I'm suggesting is that rowboats have an extra key or button that allows the player to change the direction of the Rowboats motion when rowing with both oars. Aka, if I'm rowing both oars and moving forward, but hit a wall by accident and it's a tough corner to get out of, I'd just press a different key (the reverse key), then use both oars again to back up and go backwards away from where I crashed into, and then just hit that same key again to resume normal forward movement.
Real minor request, but a big boost to quality of life for how rowboats function.
