Would it be possible to add a menu option to Auto-Skip the intro movies? I know we can press B or ESC and we're past it, but not having to worry about skipping it when launching the game would be nice. Is it possible to have this added?
Enable Intro Auto-Skip Option
Indeed, it's frustrating how many games do not have this simple option. I've already paid for the game, I've already seen the intro. [numerous times now], I just want to get in & play.
There's been times when I've felt like playing certain games but then remember they have long, unskipable intro's & then end up playing something else [usually one where I've disabled the intro, sometimes by force]@schwammlgott said in Enable Intro Auto-Skip Option:

If there wasn't a way to skip it, I'd agree...but this is just ridiculous

@schwammlgott If it's entirely optional why wouldn't you want it
Why spending time and money on something that irrelevant? What do you ask next? When starting the game to get instantly into the main menu instead of seeing "Microsoft Game Studios" and "Rare" logos?
@schwammlgott well, usually spending time and money to reduce waiting times and improving player experience is a good investment... Even if I'm not sure how much money and time would be required to put a simple on/off switch in the game. They bothered with "fixes" nobody wanted like font size and alliance coloured tags, why wouldn't they do something like this?
@schwammlgott it's more than a 2 second timesave, if you think about it. You have to go through it every time you boot up the game, for no reason, and as play sessions grow in number so does the time lost watching the beginning of that little cutscene (not counting the Arena earr*pe). Also, I know you were probably joking, but just to be clear they can't remove the logos at the beginning since they're masked loading screens.
@bobbcane in some games you can skip that logos...
Are you really living in such a busy world you need an automatic skip for the intro?@schwammlgott Are you really living in such a dull world you need to chastise people for what they think would be an improvement to the game they like?
Players on these forums tend to make suggestions way more outlandish than this one, I don't get why you're so opposed to the idea of having the option to automatically skip a cutscene every players has seen hundreds if not thousands of times? Especially since an option like this would take so little time to implement.@bobbcane sagte in Enable Intro Auto-Skip Option:

And do you really know if it takes little time to implement this? As it's not a rendered intro...
@schwammlgott well, since you can already skip it by pressing a button, a quick and dirty solution would be an instant autoskip, and that would take no time at all.
The ideal solution would be to go straight to the main menu with the cutscene completely removed. I don't think the cutscene being rendered in real time has anything to do with the issue, it's still a state that the game has to enter. I'm no programmer, but I have basic knowledge of how these things work, and adding an exception can't be too hard.
