Tipes of characters

  • One more character clled sorcerer this character dont have guns, but have 3 spells
    that will unlock at each level. The firts spell its a clone to deceive the other player in a pvp the next spell is the Ashen Dragon rage is a fireball , the fireball recharges in 3 seconds make 30% damage in the live of the oponent and the last is a healing spell works in a small range but give 40 points of life recharges in 1 minute.You can be a sorcerer finding a rare object in devils roar the object called The Ashen Dragon Orb

  • While I like the energy, I don't think Rare would be particularly keen on having full-on character classes like this. You'd also have to look at the existing mechanics of the game;

    • We have firebombs and blunderbombs. These act similarly enough to the fireball you're suggesting; they're throwable, and you can set players on fire (33% over time from firebombs) or deal damage directly (25% per blunderbomb). Player fights also usually don't take more than a couple seconds, so the 5 throwables you can carry (and throw in quick succession) are likely going to be of more help than an ability that only breaks even with the potential of blunderbombs after 9 seconds (blunderbomb and your fireball idea both take 4 hits to kill; you can throw a fireball immediately and then have to wait 3x3 seconds for the remaining 3 to kill).
    • You can already be a healer; go fish, or kill wildlife. Cook the meat. Carry a stash of the best meat with you, and hand it out to your team when they need it.

    The options we currently have for pirate combat are;

    • Weapon types. Equip any 2.
    • Throwables. Carry any total of 5.
    • Food. Carry any total of 5.

    If you could re-formulate your ideas into new weapon types that add value (significant (dis)advantages over existing weapons, further emphasizing the rock paper scissors nature of pirate combat in SoT) and/or consumables, I'd love to hear it.

  • I saw your other suggestion thread and I must say you sir provide us with some brilliant well thought ideas. Keep up the good work, I'm sure Rare is humbled by your talent.

  • Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind having a new weapon type; a summoner's staff that works similar to a sword, but does way less damage (7 hits to kill), cannot block sword lunges, and instead of having a lunge, it can spawn a (weak and unarmed) skeleton that will try to repair the ship, attack boarders, and fire the cannon at other ships (but with less accuracy than any of the island or ghost ship skeletons have).

    more of a no,
    but i like the Ashen Orb idea, but it would make you immune to fire if you carry it and extinguish large fires if thrown into.
    Maybe like if you had 5 buckets of water so you can clear the whole deck from fire with one Ashen Orb instead of 5 buckets of water.
