In current worldwide situation a facemask variant for pirate age would be cool to promote awareness (and give those pesky tuckers one more black piece of clothing to hide their untanned faces).
I imagine it as a piece of cloth (either one-fit-all or several fashionised versions to go with most pronounced sets like merchant, bilge rats, order of souls, goldhoarders, athena...) which would be available under beard tab (to avoid clipping).
Because even though salty sea air is good for your health, pirates spend a lot of time in terrible air conditions like - sealed underground vaults - erupting volcanoes - burning ships - caverns with unknown mushroom spores. And the skeletons! With the numbers we daily kill by obliterating their fragile bodies into bonedust! Has anyone ever stopped and thought how that must be dangerous for pirate lungs? Definitely less than lead overdose gained from point-blank blundershot, but still!
