I'm just going to keep this short and simple. Players need a new way to start up and converse on their adventure. I believe that a pirate type cruise ship or an island dock hub could be of value for the game and even potentially make a fun and truly Sea of Thieves way to add LFC (Looking For Crew) in-game. My points and ideas will be listed below if you would like to continue reading.
- My idea of this area is that it could be an island that would be a social hub (via Destiny's Tower) where pirates can converse in game chat and possibly form crews there. This area would theoretically be completely disconnected from the rest of the game in a similar fashion to the Maiden Voyage.
- To add to my first point pirate's could spend money, drink grog, change up their clothing styles, and most importantly converse and form crews. Players would not be able to earn gold or attack players in this area as it would be purely a social hub.
- I think a third person mode for this mode could also be interesting letting players get a better look at their characters and a new perspective to see more players at one time. (This would hypothetically only be in this gamemode with the ability to switch between first and third person)
At the end of the day this is just an idea but it could grow and form into something great. The implementation of a social hub for Sea of Thieves would most likely get rid of responses and reviews of this game saying it's boring; and also fix the "won't have the best experience if you play alone" response as you could form crews in the hub. Seems like something that the community could thrive and benefit from. But these are just the ideas of a shut in basement dweller typing about computer games.
