Selling reapers chests
@tak225 reapers chests are meant to be hard to sell hence why you are constantly marked while having it
No-one is forcing you to try and sell them. They are optional. Even if there are commendations attached to something, at the end of the day, it's still optional. If you think it's too hard for you, don't do it.
As an example, I don't really like the Devil's Roar because it's annoying, so I don't go there (unless I REALLY have to! xD). I wouldn't ask Rare to remove it though, because other people may enjoy it and they should be free to go there.

I haven't bothered with the reaper's chests since the update. Before you could go for it, grab it and sell it at whatever outpost was close. It was fast enjoyable content. Now you have to go all the way to it, and all the way to the Reaper's Hideout, which takes long time, and there is the chance of the island being blocked off by ships or camped by summitjugend which makes it unlikely to turn in. The reward is not worth the risk.
I’ve turned in 5 gold reapers while solo. Did I fight for it? Yes. Was there crews camping the island? Sure was. Did I have a blast trying to get it sold? You bet. When I fell in battle and lost the chest did I complain? Nope cuz those fellas fought for it and have a cool story to tell now.
This seems to be working as intended.

The Reaper's Hideout location is 1 of the most central locations in the SoT, which means it's relatively equidistant from every region, minus the DR. I have turned in 4 Reaper's Bounties thus far and have been completely uncontested each time, so I know that it's absolutely doable.
@galactic-geek The issue is that you have to go for the chest, and then to the island. The distance adds up.
I have tried few Bounties for the commendations, but so far haven't even been able to reach the wreck in time. By the time I get there, it gets picked up by faster ships. Funnily enough, when I have better things to do and loot to lose nobody bothers to pick it up for long time... guess it's matter of luck.
Didnt they say they were okay with any and all forms of pvp if they got their opt out? That they wouldn't mind losing as long as it was "fair"? They pretty much made it impossible to complain about PvP 😂😂😂😂😂

@tak225 is pvp still too hard for you in your opt out sessions? makes me think maybe your allegations that pc ruins pvp wasn't so true when you now claim that you can't even sell a chest in your opt out sessions maybe the fact was you really aren't that great at pvp to begin with

@withmyapologies oh I had some fun fighting the guys on the level playing field just thought it was strange that people would camp at the hideout to stop you from selling your chest thought this sort of beheviour and spawn camping was against the pirate code but I think with only one place to sell them seems kinda silly
@tak225 its a chest worth 25k do you really think people are just gunna let you cash that in without a fight? no, it is supposed to be a sought after item. it sounds to me like you need to be more aware, check for people tucking on the island, check for rowboats and mermaids, check for barrels. and if all else fails just run.
@tak225 The "Pirate Code"?! Are you seriously dragging that out? I guess we can't do any fighting on the islands or outposts then. Also, so much for attacking any new pirates out there because we have to respect their voyage ahead. Wow, thanks for reminding this community about the code, you're a real pirate legend.
@simplelyricc also where it shows up on the map i was getting chased by a few ships for it which I managed to elude thought that camping thing was kinda dirty tactic to be honest but ended up having some fun with them regardless after I killed one the other 2 got me in the end
@bendertheblack I don't know not 100% familiar with it but I thought that was but either way I think it would be better to have a few more places to sell it
