Chat on Xbox only servers

    Does anyone know if there’s still a way to use a chatpad in Xbox only servers? I figured there wasn’t but I’ve run into 2 different people who have been able to type things out. Is there a trick to this?

    @strongstylethug the chat pad is a keyboard. When you picked opt out you gave up the ability to use a chat pad as it can offer an unfair advantage

    @strongstylethug yes their is if you go into settings go to controller and look for the setting text chat

    @strongstylethug you can still text chat while in opt out on xbox, go to settings then Accessibilty settings, and put virtual keyboard to ON, then need to go to controllers on settings to set text chat key bind to D-Pad left or right

    that`s what i have done set key bind to D-Pad right

    I was convinced to give the chat wheel another try after playing with another Pirate who was able to communicate quickly and clearly using it ... But yes being able to type on a keyboard is nice vs the sticks on the controller which I find maddening ; )
