I would like to see Stitcher Jim make a deal with the seapost merchants to occasionally, and rarely, offer previously released black market items at a slight discount. It would give players more of a reason to check out seaposts for those hard-to-get cosmetics.
Black Market Discounts
I could see the Bilge Rats (and Jim in particular, with his attempts to redeem himself ) trying to help out those smaller competitors against the bigger outpost shops. Though, perhaps only those which cost gold, with the idea of Jim giving them some leftover cosmetics at a bigger discount to make some themselves. Don't see why they'd have doubloons, though.
@ultmateragnarok Well, the black market items are not the dubloon-based items - those are just the limited-time event items we've always had. The black market items are gold only, in the 3rd tab (far right of Jim's menu), and are prohibitively expensive.
There's a gold black market and a doubloon black market, and then there's the limited items. Currently, Jim has what I've heard called the 'ashen shop', which sells the event's limited items. The doubloon market is the one next to the gold one, with the same icon but a doubloon replacing the gold coin. It's selling the reskins and completions of various incomplete sets which originally costed doubloons (Bone Crusher, Forsaken Ashes, Wailing Barnicle, and Wild Rose). The doubloon market items are also incredibly expensive, such as a full weapon set costing 300 doubloons, while the gold market's ship set costs a million gold. The seaposts would have the gold market's items, as some limited partial sets are sold in the doubloon one.
