Sea of Thieves location....

  • I found where is the Sea of Thieves. The funniest part of it ? I manage to locate it via the Flat Earth map.
First we start to the Isla de Mosquito, Mosquito Island in english, next to Puerto Rico, cause the SoT is at south-east of it :

Then you pinpoint Lower Bay. You can have multiple results, but the only with wich you get to the right angle from Isla de Mosquito with a northen position is Lower Bay Station, Critchley Lane, Toronto, ON, Canada.
And so you basicaly go for symetric way on flat earth map, wich get you 3rd point to Chisec, Guatemala approximatively (pretty interesting point also). Why flat earth map ? I don't know, just an intuition. Keep the north like a magnetic point (so map center for flat earth) instead of geometrical one.
Then you go for the gravity point of the triangle, and bam :
With this position, you have to ride on circle around the gravity point next to the Caraïbean Isles and go to the entrance at north-west at Floriad height : the entrance of Bermuda Triangle.
A lot of fog down there too, probably from an high energy device environemental tool
When new player enter in the server (rrmh, the sea of thieves), it is hit by lighting. Also the ferry of damned is under this

And yeah, Bermuda Triangle make a lot of sense

  • were the hell my image links goes ?

  • Old news! We've known this already for MONTHS!

Welcome to the SoT fan club, BTW.

  • @galactic-geek

Hey, at least someone else made the journey too. Plus, many have joined since then and they'll see this and learn it for themselves.

  • I love it :) Thanks for putting this together for the newer players or the people that didn't know.

  • @ultmateragnarok Touché.

  • Basic education is an alien concept for Americans, as per usual, the map you posted there is not a "flat earth" map, that is what you call an azimuthal equidistant projection, which is one of the many ways we represent 3D objects in the world in a 2D space.

Other than that nice find, good for lore enthusiasts.

  • @tempestbob-shop SoT doesn't even take place on Earth, answer me this, if it did, then what the heck is The Devil's Roar??

  • @sneekibreeki885 While the Sea of Thieves exists in it's own fantasy universe, IT IS located on a real world place. It has been confirmed many many times by the developers. This is not new.

That's a rumour and I can confirm that it's not true. Yes, that rock is hit by a lightning even if the storm is not near, but the cause is not when a new player joins. I have tested it MANY MANY times. While I don't know the real cause, I would say the following: That rock is the 0,0 of the map, that means that is the origin spawnpoint for all the objects in the unreal world. I imagine that, they have an script that spawns X amount of lightning bolts at a random place of the storm, but that script has a little error, that causes a bolt to spawn on the 0,0 of the map (the rock).

  • what is that map?:D

    thats the real world;)
