At the current time of posting this Athena rewards for ships are not very plentiful with only sails, hull and a figure head I personally think Athena commendations should be used for Athena items such as sword, flintlock or more ship customisation and have a separate pirate legend category where you can earn Athena reputation but the commendations should unlock the pirate legend items as this would bring a better incentive to doing Athena commendations along with a large amount of extra commendations.
More Athena rewards
Athena's Fortune has many things available. Gaining the title of Pirate Legend awards you with the pirate legend clothing, one of two legend exclusive sets. The weapons and some of the equipment are also available, unlockable by completing some of the commendations in the Athena's Fortune reputation tab. There are also some two-tone hair dyes only found in the hideout. There is also the Ghost set, which currently only has clothing and a ship livery set, both unlockable throughout the ranks of Athena's Fortune. The pirate legend ship liveries are also available, for quite the price (though the ghost set outranks it in price), upon attaining Pirate Legend, and the cannons, helm and capstan are available upon completion of several other commendations.
@ultmateragnarok I am aware of the current Athena rewards and I'm not saying they are bad or there is not enough I just believe certain aspects could be added to such as the ghost livery or ghost equipment which could allow for more and interesting commendations to be added improving/adding content.
Yes, both of these sets could use some expansions. Another full set or two wouldn't go amiss either.
