I keep finding odd tribal ruins under water as well as what looks like a sacrificial alter. Anyone else find these? If so what do you think they are or were from? Do not all pirates make it back to shore safely from the mermaids?

@honestfuture85 anything! Everything! People are blitzing islands to get the voyages done and not even bothering to explore. Each island holds a tail of its own, and even a small island has a lot to see under the waves. The Devs put a lot of time into hidingthings in plain sight, just think of all the cool things that are really hidden.
@lucrativedoor8 there is an under water cave with treasure but I was only showed it and can't remember where. Easy YouTube probably.
Not to derail but yeah I love the island graphics, I hope they don't keep descaling them
@evbof20187734 there are three uncharted island's I found myself. And most have hidden reef that bust your ship up if your not careful. Those uncharted islands have some serious story to them. I found a ship torn to bits near one. I also found a underwater cave that had the remains of what looked to be the captain and his parrot Surrounded by empty chests. I also found a deep water crevasse and in it was a cave that had the bones of a sea monster.

Not to burst your bubble, but none of the underwater caves have treasure that spawn in them. That video you saw (at S16) was staged after treasure was taken down into it.

Im curious what the lore is for them.
Also curious about all the stuff you find on islands, the ruins, the carvings, the drawings.I love exploring. Specially under water. Just wish I could hold my breath longer :p
Ive found some very curious caves.Hope one day they will have a meaning other than just being pretty and cool.
@instanes1 here is a tip for you to help your under water exploring! Keep a stack of bananas on you while you swim, if you run out of air wait until your at half health and then eat a banana. Bananas are filled with air! ... I guess!
I found one of the caves near an uncharted island as well. It was fun searching around and finding this surprise. I was disappointed there was no loot as I had hoped to be rewarded for taking time to enjoy the work that was put into the environment. But, as someone else stated, it may be for something in the future.
However, since we can only carry 5 bananas I can't believe they're made of air ;)
A friend found a book that gave him a unique treasure hunt, it had a story and something weird about Athena's curse/fortune.
I searched everywhere online to find references but could not, it almost feels like his was a first. The sad thing is the server kicked him out while he was on the hunt (he captured some screenshots with his phone).
Oh and one last thing, although he plays the game with Italian translation, the book itself was in English almost as if the devs did not have a chance to translate it yet, like it was a bug that he was never meant to find because it is not finished (reason why maybe the servers kicked him out).
Anyone knows anything about this or what that book was, seems like a pretty big find?
I've also found one of the underwater cave entrances. There are some epic things in uncharted places to find. Unfortunately, after a long swim to an air pocket, there was no reward at the end of the tunnel. As with earlier posts, I'm hoping this is for future adventures. Regardless, there is a lot to find in uncharted places. Happy hunting!
