So nets have been debated on forums in the past by me and others.
My question is, why not add nets considering how easy harpooning is now.
Would be real QOL for stacking up masses of sea loot from ships and flotsam patches.
Maybe it could be bought from the shipwright and attached on the sides of the ship. One end attached and the other end is thrown. Then it would operate like sails rigging where in you can pull in and pull on the side to swipe the net in the direction of the loot to encircle it.
Moving ship with a crewmate netting could passively gather fish, small flotsam crates ( similar to flotsam barrels but smaller, a little less loot.) . Maybe even dubloons.
Another idea that would be more elaborate would be an actual net winch, could involve everything stated above but also add an ability to treasure haul deep seabed treasures. Maybe sometimes you get junk within the haul , or a mix of ancient treasures and rusted up materials, or sunken clothing items ect.
You could even have this be something that you do with the Hunter's Call. Finding rare fish with deep sea nets.
