Light Beige Beard issue? *AGAIN

  • I ve been away from the game for a few days, but now I try to open the game and I get a lightbeigebeard msg and version mismatch. The microsoft store says I have Sea of thieves installed and it is ready to play. I also tried the wsreset command, but I m not getting any game update downloads and Im still getting the lightbeigebeard msg.
Anyone knows how to solve this?

    PC Windows 10

Edit* I made a request to the game staff and basically what they told me is to reinstall. It is around 40gigas and it will take many hours for me to do that, maybe someone has another workaround plz?

EDIT* I had the problem again after last game update, but after looking around I ve seen some other lad had similar issue. He suggested that maybe the solution is to restart the PC and surprisingly it worked! So until THEY FIX THIS maybe restarting the pc is a solution for everyone that has this problem!

  • @king-arumba If the store doesn't have any updates available (as an update just dropped) then that's your next best bet because you most likely have the old version but your computer/Microsoft store isn't detecting that and allowing you to update.

  • There is not another way around. Just uninstall and reinstall. Do it at night so it will install when you are asleep.

  • I can't play the game because it says game version mismatch and I can't even update it, or I just don't know how to do it PLS HELP ME and send me the current version. SO I CAN PLAY MY GAME THAT I SPENT 40 DOLLARS ON

  • @itzskalman Ahoy matey!

I take it you are using the MS Store? Have you tried checking for Downloads and Updates? If it isn't showing up I would suggest signing out of the store and back in again, or performing a WSReset to get the update to show up.

  • I had the same problem. I went to the Microsoft store and clicked on the game icon and I clicked the card with 3 lines on the top and it showed up, update and I clicked it and it worked. 👍
