Duke's Doubloon Store

  • So, I am not sure what it is.. I can't really put my finger on it.

But somehow, moving time-limited doubloon cosmetics to the "Black Market" and not having them tied to Duke's commendations... feels different. Even though in the end I am spending doubloons anyway.

Maybe it's the they are not (right now) "new" but just recolor items?

But it's more than that... somehow this way, it feels more "grindy" and I just can't figure out why. It might be that there are doubloons on-demand now.

I know I'm not doing a great job of giving feedback here.... sorry.

I guess it doesn't feel as much like we're doing stuff in the world and being rewarded for it as before... and it feels more like just an average video game grind a bit?

When you finish a Tall tale, you are rewarded with a cosmetic... This feels great, like it's the spoils of adventure! When you finish them 5 times, you get the same feeling, more spoils of adventure!
When you obtain items using currency in a shop, it's just a bunch of button presses, it doesn't exactly flood our brains with endorfins or whatever happyjuice is related to gameplay motivation.

I think the phrase you are looking for is "This doesn't feel like rewarding gameplay."? :o

I would agree, the game needs more rewarding gameplay.
