for years i thought the number was pretty equally split, but after watching a stream yesterday i have began to think that the number of people using an inverted y-axis (aka 'mouselook') are few and far between.
do you use inverted mouse/joystick in sea of thieves?
who plays w/ inverted mouse/joystick?
@tehstepford I’m an inverter, always have been. Just feels natural to pull back on the stick to look up, in much the same way your head pivots back on your neck to look up. Just makes more sense in my mind!
I play inverted and it really bothers me my kids don’t.
Maybe cause I’m older and was there when this stuff first hit the scene. For example when golden eye hit The way my brain works is the Stick on the N64 controller was your “Neck”. So you move it the way your neck would move to see.
Also if your flying a plane you pull back to go up. Push down to go down.
Inverted... i believe its from some "early age" flight simulators on my Amiga 500 (i still have it). Also there was that one space simulator that i cant remember on Commodore 64. I believe most flight simulators have inverted Y-axis as default.
Tried to use "normal" up and down later on PC in all the FPS games that allowed mouse aiming... i think one of the first was Quake... perhaps Duke Nukem... before that is was more or less keyboard and no mouse if i remember correctly. Getting nostalgic here and i digress. ...oh how i miss the old Tie Fighter aswell...
Anyhow... i had to invert the Y-axis as the "normal" controls made me look down all the time. :)Inverted player... and proud of it. ;)
@tehstepford
Inverted all the way. IRL it feels normal that if you push your head forward you look down... plus I'm used to fight controls.I argue this point all the time with people who think I'm wired...
