This topic may have been touched on already by fellow fishermen, but am I the only pirate with an appetite for shark? I think it would be cool if you could catch a fish, then cast your line back out with that fish as bait in order to catch sharks. What say the community?

You can already hunt sharks. This idea is not needed. That said, having chum to attract sharks would be pretty cool.
I would like to see a chum cannonball that attracts an overly aggressive meg to a ship is targetted with it.
And it would be wonderful to have that nastiness spread all over the deck.

On a serious note, this isn't something necessary to be added, but a cool idea. I could see how it would work, but shark meat would have to be sold for a lot more and idk if your pirates fishing rod can withstand a shark.
I would think the appropriate way to fish for a shark would be with a harpoon gun.
Good points, all. I meant specifically fishing, not just hunting, which as you guys have mentioned is pretty easy to do. This is more of a novelty idea, although it would be cool to be able to turn in a whole shark to the Hunter's Call or harvest more meat from caught ones instead of killed. I also like the harpoon idea for this.
