Epic Skeleton Lord Fortress Idea (Ashen/Athena Stronghold)

  • I was playing with this idea, until Captain Falcore beat me to the punch.

This is a further exploration and building on Captain Falcore’s Idea.

THE NEW MEGA FORT // SEA OF THIEVES - A proposal for a new fort idea!

Never change, Captain. Keep up the good work.

I agree with the Captain completely Molten Sand Fortress is the perfect place to be World Event Fort and for epic adventure. But it need more epic! Something that only Pirate Legends are brave or crazy enough to even dare of trying.

    Molten Sand Fortress’ Summoning Altar
My suggestion for the summon the Skeleton Lord requires one (1) Skull from a Skeleton Fort Captain and one (1) Skull from a Skeleton Fleet Captain.

These skulls you are only avable to get when a Skeleton Fleet or Skeleton Fort is Active and need to kill the Skeleton Fort Captain and Skeleton Fleet Captain to obtain their skull.

Both these Skulls can be sold for 5000-10000 gold, but when you have both in order to start the World Event.

    Skeleton Fort Captain Skull
    5000-10,000

    Skeleton Fleet Captain Skull
    5000-10,000

However, the ritual can be disrupted by other players if they removing one of the items, but at the cost of destruction of the other item and the ritual cannot done again for one or three hours.

    Battle of Endurance
When the Summoning Ritual is activated, a skull cloud will appear above Molten Sand Fortress and trumpeting horn can be hear by all over the server. You have to defeat three Skeleton Captains before you can fight the Skeleton Lord, with each phase of the fight the Skull Cloud will change color how farther you progress.

    First/Blue Phase
The Skull Cloud will turn blue and five waves of Skeletons need to be defeated before the First Skeleton Captain, a Shadow Skeleton Captain, appears. When he defeated he will drop a Vault Key (see Fortress Vault and Loot for more detail).

    Seconded/Green Phase
The Skull Cloud will turn green and another five waves of Skeletons need to be defeated before the Seconded Skeleton Captain, a Plant Skeleton Captain, appears. He also drops a Vault Key when defeated.

    Thrid/Red Phase
The Skull Cloud will turn red and another five waves of Skeletons need to be defeated before the Third Skeleton Captain, a Golden Skeleton Captain, appears. He drops a final Vault Key when defeated.

    The Big Fight
After all three Skeleton Captains are defeated, the Skeleton Lord appears and the Skeleton Could turn black. When the Skeleton Lord is defeated he drop the Skeleton Lord, Skull Totem and a riddle map or book (See Molten Sand Fortress’ Puzzle Vault Room for more detail).
    Bot

    Skeleton Lord Skull
    10,000 gold

    Skull Totem
    5,000 gold

    Fortress Vault and Loot
The Fortress Vault of Molten Sand Fortress is locked by three (3) Vault Doors or a single (1) Door the enquires three (3) Vault Keys.

Since the Fortress Vault of Molten Sand Fortress is three times larger than any other Vault Room, so it should be filled three times more treasure than an ordinary Vault Room.

Not only that, it should also come with especial Ashen visions of the Stronghold Treasures and one or three Chests of Legends or Ashen Chests of Legends.

    Ashen Stronghold Skull
    4000-8400 Gold

    Ashen Stronghold Chest
    2832-7640 Gold

    Ashen Stronghold Gunpower Barrel
    5514-12,000 Gold

Ashen Crate of Ancient Bone Dust
    5090-13,016

Molten Sand Fortress’ Puzzle Vault Room
The Puzzle Vault Room is cool idea, it should combination all the different Vault Room we have seen in Tall Tales. The Epic Loot Chest from Puzzle Vault Room, let call it the Skull Chest of Legends, should the most viable piece of treasure in the game.

    Skull Chest of Legends
    25,000

When the Skeleton Lord is defeated he drop a Skull Totem and riddle map or book. The Skull Totem is used to open a hidden door to the Molten Sand Fortress’ Puzzle Vault Room or sell it that the Gold Hoarder as a Trinket, however for those who go after Skull Chest of Legends, it not going to be easy..

Rotating Puzzle Columns + Raising Water
Old classic, solve the riddle before drowning.

    Medallion Hunt
The Puzzle Vault Room’s Altar show you were to dig up a medallion. Also with each medallion dig up Coral Skeletons will pop up and attack.

Rotating Puzzle Columns + Spiked Floor
Similar to Old Mother/Kraken Vault from Shores of Gold, always same four symbols, just avoid floor it has rotating dead spikes that will instantly kill you.

    Flames of the Souls
Rotating Puzzle Columns will only show you four symbols, for example one will only show you Shark symbol, while the other will only show you Snake symbol, Fire symbol or Warrior symbol, so you need to lite the each of fire holders of Puzzle Vault Room’s Altar one of the following the colors clockwise; Blue, Purple, Red and Pink.

Rotating Puzzle Columns + Hidden Symbols
Similar to the Shark Vault from Shores of Gold, the symbols for this vault are hidden around the island. Puzzle Vault Room’s Altar shows you were to find them and in which order to put them in.

    Skeleton Trap!
Based on the Puzzle Vault from Art of the Trickster, you final get the Skull Chest of Legends, but oh-ho you triggered a trap, the door closes and now coral skeletons spawn in the Puzzle room. Each Vault Guardian kill will drop a Medallion that need to be inserted into Puzzle Vault Room’s Altar.

    Big Escape from the Island
Same as Captain Falcore’s idea erupting volcano, but also have skeletons pop out of the ground trying to stop you from steal the Skull Chest of Legends and skeleton ship hounding you all the way to the Outpost.

  • I made a suggestion a long time ago, where a similar 'mega fort' was in existence in a region overrun by skeletons. Forts there are harder, supported by skeleton ships, and offer more treasure in return (and whatever you can scavenge from the ships). One particular fort was huge, with an island roughly 5 times the size of the rest, mainly flat surfaces covered with fortifications such as walls and trenches. An idea similar to this could work for activation of it, in which one of these more difficult stronghold battles and one more difficult fleet battle gives you these items you require for the main one, and has the horn and special cloud you suggest. This fort could also include the dangers you suggest for chasing ships away and some of my own - a large volcano, or perhaps a ring of smaller ones, on or around the island respectively, and a skeleton fleet closing in on the island. They would rise out of the water and attack, or come from nearby islands, and chase you out. Some give up once you are away from the island, some when you leave the region, and a very small force would chase you even after you sell your rewards.

However, there should not be any direct chest of legends that you get from an event like this, as then non-pirate legend players who do it would be given one, and perhaps not know what to do with it. It should work like the current strongholds and fleets, where you have commendations for selling the rewards as a legend.
