Skipping of tall tale npc dialogue.

  • I have a proposal that there should be a skip option for the npc dialogue in tall tales. Don’t get me wrong I do love the tall tale dialogue and cutscenes but after the first couple times of hearing it, It gets a little repetitive and time consuming. Once you try to skip the dialogue it should ask “Are you sure you want to skip?” If yes then the dialogue will be skipped. The skippable dialogue would be for the Mysterious Stranger, Olivia, Tasha, Sudds, salty, marrow, and the three others. If you agree with this proposal, it would be appreciated if you would upvote it. Feel free to give me your thoughts. Cheers!

  • @cptn-ayeaye-rai It'd be cool if the NPC said something snarky after you chose to skip it.

    "Well, I never!"
    "Bloody pirate!"
    "Okay, just take the book!"
    "Fine, good riddance!"
"You would do well to heed my instructions..."
    "Curse be upon you then!"
    Were you even listening!?"
    "But, but... Words!"

U get the book as soon as u vote. U can just walk away and start your tale. No need to wait on the dialogue. Same when done with tale u can walk away do your thing and completion will still cone in.

  • @galactic-geek I totally agree with that idea. The snarky responses should have a similar tone to Cooper from galleons grave outpost. (I don’t buy many clothes from copper because he is mean or maybe because I am no at galleons grave as much as other outposts)

  • @cptn-ayeaye-rai

If u like the snappy comments go play arena and talk to the vendors they have real good snappy lines

  • @weakdexx No need, just go to the Sea Dog tavern in Adventure mode - they're all there on the outside waiting for you to hear their scathing remarks.

  • @galactic-geek

Well that shows what i been doing... not going there in adventure mode

    Good to know tho

  • @weakdexx In the second tall tale if you turn in the skull, the tall tale doesn’t count as finished. It counts as finished when the ending dialogue comes. This is an issue because if someone gets disconnected half way through the dialogue after turning the skull in, (this happened to me) the the tale wouldn’t have counted. Instead it should count when you turn in the final quest item.

  • I think it would be better if tall tales didnt have voiced dialogue. it makes them not gel with the rest of the game that doesnt
