Alright, so this morning I was doing stars of a thief, because legendary storyteller and art of the trickster are just too long for me. So I got to the statue, after an hour of doing this, and went in to the vault.
The thing is, I didn't notice the tiny book with the notes, so i couldn't do the puzzle in it. There were no clues anywhere inside, so me and my crewmate died. I was thinking then, OK, time to grab the notes and retry. But then it gave me the tale failed message.
What the heck? You spend an hour on something meant to be a story experience, but have to do it all again because of one mistake? That doesn't seem right. It's fine for voyages, because those are about making your own story, but imo, tall tales are meant for experiencing a story.
So that's why I think tales should have checkpoints every once in a while, such as being able to give the gems to sudds to save. This would also help with the time issue.
