Hi there everyone, this isn't a rant, let me start there. I love the hunters call and I don't mind that it takes a long time to level up (that or I'm missing something).
It's just that I want to discuss the grind. Do people feel that it's worth it or do others too feel that it's getting really slow beyond a certain point?
So here's where I'm at:
- I'm currently lvl 26 1/4th
- I generally sail with a full galleon crew and there's usually 1-3 people fishing when either we're sailing and nothing needs to be adjusted or when a voyage/quest/ step requires just one person on the island (riddles Tall tale steps etc)
- We stop for Shipwrecks and we kill kraken/ megs etc.
- We all know that mermaid gems can be sold at the hunters call and we keep our eyes and ears open around every isle.
So Currently when I turn in for the night and turn in all the fish/ meat/ junk/ gems that we've gathered I go up 1/4th of a level, this is after hours of doing tall tales and voyages forts and other misc things.
I feel like it's getting really slow and while the other factions give higher tier rewards with higher level the hunters call seems to just give the lower tier fish for 90% of the time and if we're lucky 10% of the ones actually worth something.
Suggestions I have to improve the grind:
- Make fish worth more rep overall (the price might see a slight hyke but I can accept the lower price as it doesn't involve as much risk)
- Make higher levels give better chanse of obtaining the better fish. (like having a higher chanse of captains chests at higher level gold hoarders).
Again the disclaimer. I'm not saying it needs to change it's just something I feel might improve with even a slight boost.
Thanks for reading.
