Rocky Issues

Does anyone else have a consistent issue involving skeletons and items spawning in rocks? My friends and I completed a fort and we killed the Captain on a rock in which resulted in the key spawning in the rock. I’ve had this issue for months and I thought they would have fixed this by now. Any tips on fixing this when it occurs (If you can fix it at all)? Thanks
