    Ahoy maties!

    Here's another weekly dev update, plundered straight from YouTube!

    Get the lowdown from Joe on the fixes deployed in today's patch, ongoing work on the cross play opt-out and our aim to spread the Anniversary Update love at E3 2019.

    Talking points include;

    • This weeks update is just a few bug fixes.
    • Cross Play Opt Out - Work is ongoing a few challenges to work out, no date just yet but a lot of UI/messaging work has been done. More info soon!
    • E3 2019 - A big opportunity to show off the game to a wide audience. Some interesting data will be shared! And a super cool giveaway... very exciting! Go and say hi to the team if you are going!

    sounds like we'll no be gettin' a big E3 announcement like we hoped. I be all for bringin' in new players, people that dropped off early or didn't pay the game much heed at launch... but t'would be nice to get some info on what we can expect in the comin' months/year

    Hopefully crafty Joe be buryin' the lead an' surprises us all.

    It sounded like they were getting their excuses in early.

    Having said that.. this forum is dead as a dodo. No Pirate Legend content and this is the result. Nothing to keep loyal players playing.

    As Joe basically said, they are focusing on bringing in new players. I guess this is all the compounded result of the no content initial release.

    So they’re sharing player numbers the first time since August 2018! I guess it’s something around 20 Millions! Bet on me :D

    @biter-wylie Aye, but we did get a big content drop fairly recently. If we need more new players to help keep the lanterns on at Rare then so be it.

    This is not aimed at ye, but I have no sympathy for people that race through new content an' then complain that thar be nothin' to do. If ye've already completed all tall tales 5 times each, found all the journals an got Arena an' Hunter rep to 50 then that be on you.

    @awesomecoreusa yup. I've only totally completed 2 tall tales and consider myself a pretty active player.

    These folks must not be counting completing every commendation because I guess I have about another 100 hours or so.

    @marsmayflower I've finished 7 o' them, but I was wit' a crew an' did #8 afore I did #7. Completed maybe 3 o' them more than once, an like ye I'd say I am an active pirate.

    I don't see the appeal in rushing so I can shout FIRST! Still need to get me Athena to 10 too... plenty o' t'ings to do.
