I was hoping that being able to disable crossplay would have been an option by now. Rare said earlier that it was going to be an option before arena. It is now a month after arena has been released and I haven't heard anything else from Rare about this being an option. Are the going to release this option in the near future. My whole experience in arena is just ruined. Let alone hearing them use voice changers and also pc voice text. I just want to be able to play on a level battle ground. Is this to much to ask for. Give us what you promised Rare and give the option to disable crossplay.

they did say it but I assume that with the PVPers moaning about the divided community, and now that having most console players will want to be cutting ties with PC because of their advantages so now realised that giving the option to have a level playing friend will make our platform communities separate, in all for it! And welcome the change idea but the games design is meant to be as social as possible and having more split in the community is against that design
@itskingbertie Honestly though the community has already divided itself. That's why we need the option to opt out of crossplay. All I'm asking for is what Rare has already promised us, the option to opt out.

I’m 100% with you just letting you know that the reality that giving more options to divide is gunna be something they will be very scared to add now even thou it was meant to be before lol
@itskingbertie I understand what your saying, and I appreciate your comments. I understand that at first pc players were worried that there wouldn't be enough players for them to play against. But for what I have noticed recently , there has been a large number of pc players joining in the sea of thieves player base especially in arena.
@dliquidcourageb Can't confirm that for Adventure Mode. I've only noticed an increase in people yelling insults but I wouldn't count that as an indicator for their platform.
@dliquidcourageb That would just be killing the pc community I have a xbox player who destroys PC player and with the meta rn its not that hard to kill pc player just gotta know what your doing. the other thing is that 90% of the time you die its probably to an xbox player. you think that theres an uproar in pc players but theres really not I only meet maybe 1 other pc player per lobby. no hard feelings just think that this would kill the 10% of player who play on pc. + i dont think they can add this feature because this is a feature that has to be decided at launched and this could be kill the game entirely if this goes through.
@dliquidcourageb still there is only about 10 to 20% of player who play on PC. Xbox player can also be as good as pc player I have a crewmate that i run a sloop with and he could probably stand a pretty good chance against me. if they ever go through with this I hope its only for arena not adventure and dont think Im one of those cocky pc player who get an ego boost off killing xbox player i dont trash talk too much unless they start it or its another pc player who trash talks xbox players
Nope. Arena is the throw away mode, if anything it needs it less because at most you're out twenty ish minutes and then you still make money and rep.
Not like adventure where you could spend hours only to walk away with nothing for the time. Also Rare was clear that adventure would get the Opt out and there's no way they renege on it.
@dliquidcourageb Its not ten percent, the last word we had was 35, and with the crossplay disappointment I wouldnt be surprised if its even more now. Last night we did a couple of forts, of the 10 different players we ran into, 9 of them were PC. Anecdotal I know, but the idea that you're not running into PC players, particularly if you're doing anything PVP is just nonsensical.

Way wrong dude. Rare has said both communities have the numbers to support opt out and when the opt out for console was announced they said PC was 35 percent, I'd be unsurprised if it was even more now because of Xbox players laying off until Rare makes good the opt out.
Further, Xbox players can tell whos on pc now. Its on your profile when you're playing. indisputable, not that it was ever hard to tell.
Also, nobody cares about any pc players supposed xbox friend whos amazing at the game, so good they might even give the pc player a run. Smoke screen red herring nonsense.
In no way will it kill the game.

Honesty being on Xbox and not having the opt out option is killing the game for me and I have been playing this since it released

@natiredgals why is the mouse and keyboard not great on Xbox? Haven't tried it myself so I didn’t know this.

@natiredgals They originally said the sloop would be able to have four players, but changed their mind once they realised it was a bad decision.
