So i've read that this was fixed but my experience today tells me it might have broken again.
Anyway the problem is that ships respawn way too close to where they sank. I was with a crew at a fort and a crew kept coming to fight. We sank them every time and tried to complete the fort but after each defeat they were back at the fort in less than 3 mins. We eventually had to leave the fort because we ran out of supplies.
Being sunk repeatedly should spawn you further and further away and eventually force you to switch servers to keep people from being able to waste other peoples time.
