Right after the patch after I had gotten into the game, found a pig cage that I used to capture of course a pig. Makes it easier to kill hem and get their meat. I attacked the pig and it wouldn't die, shot it, sliced it with sword, and nothing, still alive in the cage. Had to resort to blowing it up with a powder keg, which finally killed the pig, also watched it starve to death. So I think recent patch added an unexpected bug. Anyone else come across this?
Nearly INvincible Pigs
Yeah just last night I had an invincible chicken! He was with me for a couple of hours as my trusty sidekick and 6AM alarm clock but just before logging off I decided to sacrifice him to the Hunters Call. I couldn't kill him (didn't have a keg to try and was out at sea) but cutlass, blunder and sniper certainly didn't work. I named him Cluck Norris and set him free on the waves in the end. He's probably still bobbing around the ocean somewhere out by 3 Paces East Seapost.
Idk about the cage situation but whenever I try to kill a chicken or pig I swear they are super human and take so many sword slashes that I wish I could recruit them as crew members because while enemy pirates are hacking and slashing and shooting them 10 times I could easily stab them in the back! Good job little piggy!
When an animal is caged I've noticed that they will play the dying animation and disappear before they have actually died. Just keep attacking it until its name is gone and the meat should be under the cage. A point blank blunderbuss still one-shots uncaged animals, just be close to it so all the pellets connect.
