Why wont this game fix any of its bugs?

  • Literally just started playing again maybe 2 weeks ago and it has the same bugs it did at launch. Just got done doing a Skull Fort and all our time is wasted because the boss skeleton glitches into a rock. How [mod edit] are we supposed to get the key. This happens too often. If the item is stuck make it move to where it's not.

  • Sail away. Turn around and come back. Make sure you go far enough that the nameplate pops again. Boss and any other glitched skellies will be fixed. Bug may have been around for a while but so has the fix. Works anytime skellies are bugged or invisible.

  • You dont need to sail away. Just send your whole crew to the ferry together. Dont leave the ferry till eveyone else is also on the ferry. This will respawn any remaining skellies. Its not a fix, just a work-around.

As long as you don't use a keg to kill the boss while he is stuck, you should be able to collect the key.

  • I recently came back and was hit with a bug that was there at launch too.

Was travelling with a few chests on board then next thing I am warped from the helm into the sea. So my ship sails off without me. Luckily I got back via mermaid before it collided with an island but that's not the point. Why is this still happening?

  • @BigPapaRusty94 This happens for me and my regular crew when we do forts and OoS quests.

In those cases (as its been suggested) we too have left the island far enough to make that U-turn and
re-cue the Island title intro sequence and been all set.
Now a lot of times we just all come together and childishly sing happy birthday around a lit "birthday keg" to ease the frustration (we usually don't get to far into the song lol) but all of us dying being on the ferry before walking through the portal gate, does almost always resets the glitched wave of skellies without having to leave the island or fort.

Also you probably know this but just to say for others who read this, sometimes if a skellie is stuck in a rock or a wall usually you can still get a sense of their location from their noises they make. Well enough to where you can still swipe said rock or wall and be able to hit them until you hear that beautiful sound of shattering bones. So it is still possible to get that kill even if you can't see them. if your sword swipes don't reach them that way, a powder keg usually does the trick as well by detonating it in that same location .

my last piece of advice regarding the Fort Capitan key, if the fort keystone is stuck in a rock, getting as close to where you could hear the Capitan go down maybe still attempting to grab it could still work even if the cue to interact with an object isn't visible to you. maybe try it out next time.

I feel your frustration and I agree that this is an occurance that could use some looking into .

    good luck

  • @bigpaparusty94 skeletons hiding in the map, KEG partah! Head to the ferry of the damned with your entire crew (all pirates) at once, have a party with th4 ferryman and it will be solved.

    @Scrubber89
Some bugs are harder to resolve than others. They are improving the game, but people shouldn't think that it is easy to solve software issues in such a complex product. Especially ship, sea, pirate positioning and interaction, where latency also causes issues, etc.

  • Ahoy @bigpaparusty94!

  • Or what about the getting stuck on things, not sure why this happens in a AAA game but every now and then you get stuck and most of the time, I stress MOST, it'll then teleport you back to your ship. I wish they'd fix that. Also the loading screens are so ridiculous! I feel like a good portion of the game is simply spent watching a black loading screen. I could understand to boot up the game you'd get a loading screen but for god sakes everything takes a loading screen to get to it seems! Or how about the stutters, lags and rubber banding. It has been there since day one and though not as bad now it still happens and is super frustrating when a PC player come running at you full speed while swinging their sword wildly and you go to try to block or dodge or attach but then BAM you lag for a half second and that's all it takes for them to start their combo that CAN'T be countered since it stuns you and locks you into place and therefore you're dead!

  • @contentzilla there is nothing to fix about being teleported back to your ship, thats basicly the save mechanic if you get stuck for some reason, however the times that you get stuck and dont get teleported back thats something worth fixing, especially when solo because that will ruin your whole voyage/session

I spend 1-2 minutes waiting to load into games, at least a minute to teleport from the mermaid. I have the fastest internet in my area so approx. 100mbs down and 20mbs up. No other games require these loading times. I get really sick and tired of looking at black screens or informational loading screens. However, I hear some PC users and those on Xbox One X or with external SSD drives don't have this issue. Seems like something needs to be fixed to me.

  • @contentzilla rare cant fix the amount of stuff that needs loaded in and hard drive’s are just WAY slower at that stuff then hard drives, thats a technological difference.

Mermaid that takes a minute is really the hard drive sweating it

  • Oh and what about the stupid Cannon glitch where you try to shoot yourself over to another ship or island via the cannon and it shoots you straight up or back behind the ship or something silly. This has been present since day 1 as well! They can't fix I guess or just don't care to fix it.
