Chum bucket

  • I have always thought Sharks would be a good defense mechanism to help ward off intruders and scallywags. But there hasn't been a very clear way for me to see how it could work until now.

You could have some way to acquire/make chum, with unwanted food/fish parcels ect. And chum the water around your ship. This would attract "aggressive sharks" that would feed on anything in the area for an extended amount of time.

  • I like this idea!

  • @achilles-x1 or draw them to an area to be killed...I do like some shark meat!

  • I think the Bucket of Sick from drinking too much grog should be the chum bucket.

Ha, that same thought occurred to me as well, actually! Not sure if it really makes sense, though!

  • @arsigi Idk, I've thrown up over the side of a boat before and the fish seemed to love it XD.

  • @JC-Yukaze Ewwww.... :P

  • @the-lake-bubba well it works both ways. You would just chum the area (anywhere) and sharks would feed for a certain amount of time. You could kill them if you need too, but the key factor here is that they need to be aggressive sharks, not curious ones, so anyone who's in the water at the time is targeted.

  • @achilles-x1 I can see how this would be used - while a crew is exploring a large island, you throw up/chum all around their boat, creating a shark frenzy that kills them as they try to swim the loot back to the boat. Then you swoop in on your rowboat and collect the goods.
