No.... your quest is not bugged or broken.

Apologize in advance if this post seems like I'm yelling at people because I am not, just trying to help the overall morale of current and future players out there. But I have seen numerous posts in this forum, reddit, and the Sea of Thieves group on FB about people complaining about the game being broken or their Tall Tales quest being bugged and how angry they are at Rare for allowing this to happen in the new update. Granted there are a few legitimate ones out there but 9/10 times the people rage quitting and cursing the game for being 'broken' are just missing steps in their quest. I've seen a number of people also saying they are quitting playing the game altogether for this same reason and are tired of having to deal with these problems and then bad mouthing the game on the internet and deterring other people from actually jumping back in and trying the game out. If something doesn't seem like it's working and you think something is wrong, instead of rage quitting and immediately jumping on your nearest social media platform to bad mouth the game and all the hard work the developers have put in to making this game great, look up a guide to make sure you have done everything you were supposed to do for these quests. Most likely you've just missed something and it is not the games fault.
